I have an interior decorative plant. He is named Mr. Ficus. He definitely is concealing a portal to underworld.
As always, my day has been improved by your comics!
that exact thing happened to me once…
only, instead of a chasm it was my bed, and instead of a hideoussnakemonster it was my blanket….
still, I totally got a plant to bring the room together
I was thinking the exact same thing. I believe the monster is forming the ouroboros is allegory to Fletcher’s self destructive nature, and how everything he does ends up biting him in the backside, and he has nobody to blame but himself. The monster it’s self represents Fletcher’s life. it has 7 spines and 7 dark green stripes along it’s body, representing lucky number 7, showing that even when he’s lucky, he ends up hurt. it’s eyes are a cross between cat eyes, lizard eyes and human eyes, representing the fact Fletcher is a furry. The mouth is shaped like a torture device, representing Fletcher’s inner pain and desire to be accepted by those he loves.
finally fletcher’s undying passion for bonsai trees shines through
I love how calmly Fletcher falls through the chasm.
OH MY
That plant is gorgeous.
@Steven
I think, in a moment of terrible judgement, he did it on purpose.

Humm… WHAT?
I think this is a daily occurrence for Fletch. He’s like ahhh this is like the 3rd time this week

Wow… I don’t really know what to say…
Is that a reference to an oroborous in the fourth panel?
Also, their house must be made out of random holes in the floor and ceiling, considering everything that’s happened to it!
